Thanks for purchasing your GrillBit BBQ Drill Brush cleaning kit!

Please remember, GrillBit IS A SET OF TOOLS. 

Please be careful when using GrillBit.

The GrillBit Kit is a serious set of cleaning tools for serious Grill Masters - It's not a toy.

• If you're cleaning a flat hot plate, use a 'cup brush' and let the brush do the work. DON'T PRESS DOWN TOO HARD, otherwise you could scratch the surface of your grill plate.

• If you're cleaning a regular Grill (with gaps), stand to one side of your BBQ to clean using the 'wheel' brushes. Tip:

  • • If you're standing on the left hand side of the grill, put your drill in 'forwards' direction. This will send any material from the grill towards the lid and not onto the ground in front of your BBQ

    • If you're standing on the right hand side of the grill, put your drill in 'reverse' direction. This will send any material from the grill towards the lid and not onto the ground in front of your BBQ

• • • Make sure you wear safety glasses and gloves.

    • Don't drink and GrillBit.

    • Keep well away from long hair! (Seriously, tie it back).

    • Keep away from your clothing.

    • Keep away from your skin (seriously, don't touch the brushes while they're spinning, (or not spinning) - really ouchy).

    • When in use, make sure there are no kids, friends or pets nearby

    • When not in use, keep away from kids

    • While Grillbit can be used on hot and cold grills, do not use GrillBit if there is excessive hot oil on a hotplate which could be ejected onto you or someone you love.

    •    Respiratory Protection: Use a dust mask or respirator in environments where dust or toxic particles may be present.

    •    Hearing Protection: Use earplugs or earmuffs in prolonged operations to prevent hearing damage.

    •    Clothing: Wear close-fitting clothing and secure long hair to prevent entanglement with the rotating brush.

2. Work Environment:

• •    Ensure your work area is clean, well-lit, and free from any wet or damp conditions to avoid electric shock.

  •    Use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) when working with an electric drill.

3. Equipment Inspection:

• •    Before use, inspect the wire brush for damage or loose wires. Do not use if damaged.

  •    Ensure the brush is securely attached to the drill.

4. Operating Guidelines:

• •    Always hold the drill firmly with both hands.

  •    Start the drill at a low speed and gradually increase to avoid loss of control.

  •    Do not force the brush; let the bristles do the work.

  •    Keep bystanders at a safe distance to prevent injury from flying debris.

5. After Use:

• •    Turn off and unplug the drill before changing or inspecting the brush.

  •    Clean the work area of any debris and safely dispose of broken wires or particles.

6. Health and Safety:

• •    Take regular breaks to minimize exposure to vibration and noise.

  •    Seek immediate medical attention if you are injured during use.

7. Storage:

• •    Store the wire brush in a safe, dry place out of reach of children.
